Press In Queen Cages

These cages are a fantastic way to introduce your recent investment when it comes time to requeening an existing colony, especially if it’s quite aggressive. Your queen is best introduced via this cage by popping the top off the JZBZ cage, place it on a frame of emerging capped brood free of any bees and then pressing the cage over the top of her and into the brood down to the plastic foundation (no good for frames with wax foundation). Depending on how feral or strong the colony she should be left in for a minimum of 4-7 days before removing the cage. Here’s a short video to help demonstrate.
